we have a project that aims to make traffic managment over a network.
we are aiming to do that according to the applicaton ftp, telnet, and so on,
we wanted to use a java application to run on the routers that could sniff
the packets so that we would be able to determine which packets to hinder
and which to pass. So what i really want to know is that are there any
classes in java that could let me access the NIC to be able to sniff the
packets or not.
I would be gratefull if i have a reply from u soon because i am running out
of time.
