I'm using other definitions. Capitalism: free trade (no interference in a
transaction by those not involved). Socialism: interference by the
government in some / all transactions. [Example: every country.] Communism:
the state owns everything, everybody is an employee. Nazism: the state
claims to allow private property, but regulates everything; state ownership
de facto, if not de jure. Feudalism: someone claims to own everything,
including the individuals, using force. Subset of nazism, which is a subset
of socialism.

We switched slower. We had people assasinated by foreign powers as late as
1907, and maybe even more. We have only become a free nation in 1918.

Er... you definitely have a reading problem (or a thinking problem <g>).
"BETWEEN the two WWs" is BEFORE the allies won the 2nd WW (oh, and btw, we
fought the Nazis for almost a year and they called us collaborationists,
while France fought them for 17 days and they were the great anti-Nazis.
Well, international politics...)
