1) copying this file right behind the 'rsync' of perl-current. patch applies, build fails. the 'tar cfz' of perl-current is named perl-5.10.0.tar.gz PANIC! perl-current-`date +..`.tgz may be ok why not using the stable tgz from cpan? current will not achieve a consistent build over time. 2) copying the cygwin.c after stage_prep thus making the patch unseen. //a interpretation of 'using the official' fails. 3) using the original tarball http://cpan.org/src/perl-5.10.0.tar.gz d2c39b002ebfd2c3c5dba589365c5a71, not using cygwin.c build: pkg_ver=perl-5.10.0 shows the -O2 by itself but hangs in fork-test. (melting down my laptop *g*) 4) same as 3) but cp of cygwin.c to perl-5.10.0/cygwin/cygwin.c rigth behing tar xfz... fails at cygwin.c. giving up. at least for today. >> maybe someone has a -02 build for perl and may check for widget please? > > I would report that upstream at perl-Tk, > Slaven Rezic is very cooperative and also has cygwin. > http://search.cpan.org/dist/Tk/ http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Tk+804.028_501 ohjeh.. perl 5.8.8 is yellow for cygwin. there seems to be no interest at all for the moment. kind regards Wolfgang btw: activestate + tk is running the 'widget' application. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
