Hello,
after updating the cygwin-installation to the actual version (or
installing cygwin from scratch) perl-Image-Magick no longer works in the
following combination:
Cygwin Package Information
Package Version Status
libImageMagick1 6.4.0.6-1 OK
perl 5.10.0-5 OK
perl-Image-Magick 6.4.0.6-1 OK
Doing a:
$ perl -e "use Image::Magick;"
gives a "Can't locate Image/Magick.pm in @INC ..." error because
perl-Image-Magick is installed in the "old" 5.8 vendor_perl directory branch
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/auto/Image/Magick/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/auto/Image/Magick/autosplit.ix
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/auto/Image/Magick/libMagick.dll.a
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/auto/Image/Magick/Magick.bs
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/auto/Image/Magick/Magick.dll
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8/cygwin/Image/Magick.pm
while other packages (eg. perl-libwin32) are installed in the "new" 5.10
vendor_perl directory branch
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10/i686-cygwin/auto/libwin32/.packlist
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10/i686-cygwin/auto/Win32/ChangeNotify/ChangeNotify.dll
...
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10/i686-cygwin/Win32/ChangeNotify.pm
...
Including the "old" vendor_perl path(es) with the perl '-I ...' option
doesn't solve the problem.
Thank you
Thomas
