Hello, I had a problem after installing cygwin, and (I think that) my problem does not appear in the FAQ.
My problem: - an old (and broken) version of cygwin was installed. - installing a fresh new one led to the cygwin shell to NOT start: - the window opens and closes very fast The solution: - reboot the PC ! The explanation: - an old version of cygwin1.dll did exist and was incompatible with the new one. What the FAQ could say: - if the cygwin shell does not start, open a Windows shell and type the following: chdir C:\cygwin\bin bash --login -i then read the message . - if the install seems to install with success but the cygwin shell does not start, reboot the PC. Hope it helps, Tony Créez votre adresse électronique [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1 Go d'espace de stockage, anti-spam et anti-virus intégrés. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
