If you just want to update manually, just keep hitting "Next>". If you want to see what is going to be updated, when you get to the "Select Packages" screen, change the "View" to "Partial". See http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/setup-net.html , especially the 3rd paragraph at "Choosing Packages" http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/setup-net.html#id4725676 To automate Setup to update, see http://cygwin.com/faq/faq.setup.html#faq.setup.automated , http://cygwin.com/faq/faq.setup.html#faq.setup.cli , and http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin-apps/2003-03/msg00526.html . For example, I use the following, run from a cmd.exe batch file in my Startup folder. start /wait h:\cygwin\arc\setup.exe -R c:\cygwin -n -q -s ftp://mirrors.kernel.org -l h:\cygwin\arc (I use "start /wait" because I want to be sure that everything is updated before I run any cygwin scripts.) - Barry Disclaimer: Statements made herein are not made on behalf of NIAID. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
