You need to update your /etc/groups (http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/ntsec.html#ntsec-files, http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using-utils.html#mkgroup). I'm hoping that it was because your group information was incorrect that the postinstall script failed, since nothing else really looks like it would explain the failure of cp. Also, could you send the output of: $ grep -C5 00bash.sh /var/log/setup.log/full to see if it captured any error messages from the attempted cp? - -- Life is short - so eat dessert first!
