Subversion, a version control system which aims to be a compelling replacement for CVS, has been updated in the Cygwin net distribution to version 1.4.2-1.
This is a new upstream feature release as compared to the previous Cygwin packaged version. Release notes for the Subversion 1.4.x series are: http://subversion.tigris.org/svn_1.4_releasenotes.html Please take particular note of the following: WARNING: if a Subversion 1.4 client encounters a pre-1.4 working copy, it will automatically upgrade the working copy format as soon as it touches it, making it unreadable by older Subversion clients. If you are using several versions of Subversion on your machine, you need to be careful about which version you use in which working copy, to avoid accidentally upgrading the working copy format. Max Bowsher. -- To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list at: cygwin@cygwin.com . I would appreciate it if you would use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly. If you want to make a point or ask a question, the Cygwin mailing list is the appropriate place. This includes ideas and comments about the setup utility or Cygwin in general. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
