i installed cygwin in windows xp, everything works fine like X, i can forward X from a linux machine. but i wanted to install sshd. it worked well when i had windows 2000 pro and now my company migrated everything to the windows xp.
my laptop belongs to the company domain. when i use ssh-user-config it fails as follows setfacl: illegal acl entries /cygdrive/c/home/kamarj/.ssh couldn't be given the correct permissions. Please try to solve this problem first. when i try to start sshd anyways [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cygrunsrv.exe -S sshd cygrunsrv: Error starting a service: QueryServiceStatus: Win32 error 1062: The service has not been started. i guess the main problem is lies in setfacl in ssh-user-config. i tried everything that i found from google, but the problem still persists any help or point in the right direction will be appreciated thanks jc -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
