I really don't understand the question. For one thing, Cygwin's make is GNU make, which is the same make that you will likely have installed on your unix system. (And if you don't, then just install GNU make. It's available for just about every platform.) Second of all, Cygwin is a windows DLL. There is absolutely no way to run it under Linux or any other system that's not Windows, unless you are talking about WINE or something.
