Umm, first off:

$ cat
/proc/registry/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/sshd/Parameters/AppArgs
-De $

(which indicates the absense of the newline in that value), so you have to
at least use "echo -n".

Secondly:

$ echo -n "-Der" >
/proc/registry/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/sshd/Parameters/AppArgs
bash:
/proc/registry/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/sshd/Parameters/AppArgs:
 Read only file system
$

AFAIR, /proc/registry has always been read-only.

What you *can* do, however, is:

$ regtool -- set
/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/sshd/Parameters/AppArgs "-Der"
$
