cygutils and cygipc have some incompatibilities with cygwin-1.5.7; this updated version resolves those conflicts. Note that you will probably need to re-install cygwin-1.5.7 after upgrading cygutils -- this is an unfortunate consequence of the pre-existing conflict between cygutils-[OLDVERSION] cygwin-1.5.6+.
