I get the following error when copying a file to
/dev/null:

$ cp cygcheck.out /dev/null
cp: cannot create regular file `/dev/null': Invalid
request code

$ which cp
/usr/bin/cp

I've tried it from a different home directories on
different disks (both physical and network) and from
different shells and the result is always the same.
