When configuring the cygwin DLL with '--prefix=/usr', the winsup files end up installed in /usr/i686-pc-cygwin instead of /usr:
/usr/ /usr/bin /usr/etc /usr/i686-pc-cygwin /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/bin /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/include /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/man /usr/include /usr/info /usr/lib
I would like to ask the list how to configure the cygwin DLL to have 'make install' create a tree similar to the one stored in the binary distribution tar file:
/usr/ /usr/bin /usr/etc /usr/include /usr/info /usr/lib /usr/man
