You wrote "vmtools" and "vmware." Is that <http://www.vmguys.com/vmtools/> or <http://www.vmware.com/>? Both? Something else?

On unrelated (but original) note:
Now I'm seeing the MS-DOS window stop responding part-way thru the setup download of packages, and the system tends to lock (when I keep switching to the MS-DOS window and typing "dir<enter>" to see if it is still working) before finishing downloading the packages.
Before giving up on this, I'm going to see if I can easily find any info out about what is happening as it dies with sysinternals tools (http://www.sysinternals.com).
