I was dropped by the list server a year or so ago and had to
re-subscribe. No reason that I was able to determine. A sample size of
1, but it does happen.

Happened to me a number of times when my email providers took too long to process/bounced incoming email, or had inadequate DKIM, DMARC, SPF authentication records for their or my domains:
