This doesn't happen every time, but frequently enough with different files that I wonder if anyone else has seen it.
The first line in the file being edited is #!/usr/bin/expect -f but appears this way: 1 +q436f+q6b75+q6b64+q6b72+q6b6c+q2332+q2334+q2569+q2a37+q6b31$q q 2 # vim:set background=light nu: 3 #set message "--- Welcome to \"$argv0\" ---- [clock format [clock scan now]] ---" The last Cygwin update was 17 Dec 2020.
