GNU Multiple Precision Arithmetic Library =========================================
GMP is a free library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, operating on signed integers, rational numbers, and floating point numbers. There is no practical limit to the precision except the ones implied by the available memory in the machine GMP runs on. GMP has a rich set of functions, and the functions have a regular interface. This is a new upstream release which contains fixes for some newer Intel processors. Hopefully this solves the problem reported in: https://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2016-08/msg00000.html GMP 6.1.1 release announcement: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- BUGS FIXED Make Intel Broadwell configurations work on Windows. FEATURES Work around faulty cpuid on some recent Intel chips (this allows GMP to run on Skylake Pentiums). Support thumb-less ARM chips. --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- -- *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
