I "set editing-mode vi" in ~/.inputrc. In bash, it responds as expected to (say) "dt,", which deletes characters upto the next comma. It does not do this in R; instead, that series of keystrokes simply causes the next two keystrokes to be consumed without any effect. I guess it would be wrong to assume that R uses the same readline implementation as bash? Is there anything I can set to get the expected behaviour?
