I've used db_home: %H/cygwin instead. That works, sort of. The windows home is mapped to H:, therefore Cygwin decides to use /cygdrive/h/cygwin and that in turn means "posix=0" as the standard mount option. It doesn't seem to work for SSH logins onto a server however, the resulting home directory is always /home/<user>. I can't investigate further at the moment...
