The following packages have been updated in the Cygwin distribution:
*** libnspr4-4.10.3-1
*** libnspr-devel-4.10.3-1
*** nss-3.15.3.1-1
*** libnss3-3.15.3.1-1
*** libnss-devel-3.15.3.1-1
Netscape Portable Runtime (NSPR) provides a platform-neutral API for
system-level and libc-like functions.
Network Security Services (NSS) is a set of libraries designed
to support cross-platform development of security-enabled client and
server applications.
This is an update to the latest upstream stable releases, and includes
fixes for proper operation on x86_64. Also, the following changes have
been made to the NSS packaging:
* The nssckbi module (containing the root certificates) is now provided
by p11-kit-trust and ca-certificates. This means all the major
cryptography libraries now use a single source of root certificates on
the system, which avoids the need to update nss solely for root
certificate updates, and allows system administrators to add or override
the defaults. Fedora has been doing this since F19, as described here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/SharedSystemCertificates
* An nss-debuginfo package is now available.
