New cygwin initscripts package available for download. The package is a System-V-like collection of system initialization scripts including a full-featured /etc/inittab. Initscripts package includes a sample script to start/stop sshd daemon. To install the package, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. You'll find initscripts listed in the "System" category.
