Cygutils is a collection of useful(?) tools for the cygwin
platform. This is a content update and feature enhancement.
NOTE that you will have to explicitly install cygutils-x11
and cygutils-extra, to retain equivalent functionality as
the old cygutils package. This change was necessary to avoid
certain dependency issues.
CHANGES (from cygutils-1.4.12-1)
================================
* Split into multiple subpackages to simplify dependencies
- cygutils contains only cygstart, mkshortcut, readshortcut
and is in the Base category.
- cygutils-x11 contains the (X11) desktop integration files
and has relatively heavyweight dependencies, and is in the
X11 category.
- cygutils-extra contains the rest of the utilities and
documentation, and is in the Utils category.
TODO (call for patches):
================================
* Update (some?) utilities to handle unicode filenames, similar to
IWAMURO Motonori's work on cygstart. Which utilities need this?
mkshortcut and lpr, probably. Any others?

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link
on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to
your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions.
