Well, I tried just downloading the X11 package, from 4 different mirrors. The first 3 gave me the "download incomplete" but the 4th did not. It only gave me the following:
Package: Unknown package rxvt.sh exit code 3 xinit.sh exit code 3 The good news is I was able to fire up startx and an xterm. I kind of wanted to try kde but at this point I'm afraid, as I seem to have a working X windows system so I think I'll get back to work now.... -Alan On Wed, Dec 19, 2012 at 2:33 PM, Art Vandelay <qqa...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, I have happily used Cygwin on my laptops for years (Windows XP). > This past week I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 (64 bit). > > I have made perhaps 10 different attempts at installing Cygwin and it > seems each time I get different errors. > > Some of the mirror sites are terribly slow, so after Googling I've > settled on kernel.org, but I still get errors using that mirror. > > One frequent error is the "Download incomplete" error.
