Hi
I've been using Cygwin for a while and everything was working fine.
i've updated Cygwin to the latest version s 1.7.17-1. and even since
i'm unable to use it anymore.
I'm getting this message shown on every start of cygwin and it never
becomes operational:
0 [main] bash 6156 child_info_fork::abort:
C:\cygwin\bin\cygiconv-2.dll: Loaded to different address:
parent(0x490000) != child(0x630000)
bash: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable
i've tried rebaseasll, with a variety of open memory allocations but
nothing works. even when i landed on an "open" slot where
cygicon-2.dll did not complain, i still kept getting this error when
starting cygwin. I did a lot of searching for possible answers, in
every past message i found in the mainling list of similar issues,
they were all resolved a long while ago, so not sure why i'm still
getting this.
attached is cygcheck.out, any help will be much obliged

I suspect the base address of

to be the problem. I saw one time that rebase used inconsistent address.
Could you from dash run "rebase -si > rebase.out" and post the
output as attachment ?
As extreme rebase action, you can remove or rename "/etc/rebase.db.i386"
and rebaseall again. Without the previous database it will rebase
from scratch; sometime it solves the problem.
