Dear Jiri --

If you want a version of gcc that runs natively under Windows,
why don't you install that?  MinGW will provide that without
bringing all if cygwin into it.  You will get C programs
compiled to run under Windows.  If you compile under cygwin,
you will get programs designed to run under cygwin, which
(as you observe) is somewhat different.

Or am I missing your point?
