If you run dumper.exe with a Windows process, you will get the cygwin warning about using MS-DOS path
$ dumper p 3412 cygwin warning: MS-DOS style path detected: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pale Moon\plugin-container. exe Preferred POSIX equivalent is: /c/Program Files (x86)/Pale Moon/plugin-contain er.exe CYGWIN environment variable option "nodosfilewarning" turns off this warning. Consult the user's guide for more details about POSIX paths: http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using.html#using-pathnames This seems incorrect because the user has no control over this path, on the PID to dump. I realize one can set the nodosfilewarning option, but warnings should not be raised when users input a valid PID. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
