Whenever I use ping it returns the message socket: Operation not permitted. This only happens if I am not running the shell as an administrator otherwise it works fine.. The windows stock ping command doesn't need admin rights to run. I am running Windows 7 and cygwin 1.7. Attached is my cygcheck output.
