ustr (Micro string library) is a string API for C. It has tiny overhead over just plain strdup(), is much safer, is easier to use, is faster for many operations, and can be used with read-only or automatically allocated data. You don't even need to link to the library to use it (so there are no dependencies).
[[ compiled using gcc-3.4.4-999 ]] libustr is a new prerequisite of the run2 application launcher. This package is specific for cygwin-1.5. The simultaneously-released libustr-1.0.4-11 packages are for cygwin-1.7. -- Charles Wilson volunteer libustr maintainer for cygwin ==================================================================== To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page.
