FYI, the following file is corrupt on mirrors.rcn.net: /pub/sourceware/cygwin/latest/binutils/binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2
It fails both the md5sum and the bzip2 tests, regardless of whether I download it using the Cygwin setup program, http, or ftp directly. It does appear to be okay on other mirror sites however. Here are the details: $ cat md5.sum d74671fbf9f940e99984b5b07388b84e binutils-20011002-1-src.tar.bz2 92bd6f273011775e6dde6ee94b11dd27 binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2 $ md5sum binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2 7bcf53196056ff89b7f26ad9ddc908bd *binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2 $ bzip2 -tvv binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2 binutils-20011002-1.tar.bz2: [1: huff+mtf rt+rld] [2: huff+mtf rt+rld] [3: huff+mtf rt+rld] [4: huff+mtf rt+rld] [5: huff+mtf rt+rld] [6: huff+mtf rt+rld] [7: huff+mtf rt+rld] [8: huff+mtf rt+rld] [9: huff+mtf rt+rld] [10: huff+mtf data integrity (CRC) error in data You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.
