I have no problems with make. I've never used M-x grep. I always use a shell buffer. I've been running 21.5-b5 so I had to do M-x compile in xemacs-21.4.6. Worked fine except for "make install" :) Then I ran 21.4.6 and recompiled in xemacs-21.5.5. Still no problems. Windows 2000, cygwin 1.3.10, gcc 2.95.3-5, make 3.79.1
