I'll be glad to second this request. My cygwin bin contains 561 files.
I'm willing to bet that I've never used about half of them, and never
heard of about a quarter. A short description would be really useful.

About 4 of 5 of the program names I see posted, I've never heard of, but

might realize the possible usefulness of some of them if I did know.
