More explicitly,

   xemacs --> depends on/requires --> xemacs-emacs-common

and

    emacs --> depends on/requires --> xemacs-emacs-common

It might be clearer if 'xemacs-emacs-common' was renamed using the plural for
emacs, that is, 'emacsen-common'. Also, I'm not sure that the package
should have the same version number ('21.5.28.3') as xemacs. That versioning suggests that it is a part of xemacs when it is shared by both emacs and xemacs.

Hi

A new *TEST* version of 'xemacs' has been uploaded to a server near you.

The recently-announced update (February 01, 2009) to 'xemacs-emacs-common'
appears to have re-introduced the problem described, below, namely, that
the package 'xemacs-emacs-common' depends on the package 'xemacs'. The
package 'xemacs-emacs-common' needs to be independent so that both emacs
and xemacs users may install it without installing the other editor.

You're right, my fault. I don't have sourceware access today. So please
change the setup hint. (also from the xemacs test version please)

Ciao
