Hi all, after six weeks of absence I scanned the cygwin-apps list now and I'm wondering how many ITPs, which didn't make it into a package so far, are still seriously backed by their potential maintainer. There was a certain kind of stagnancy for a lot of packages after the first few followup mails have been sent. Sometimes no followup mails at all have been sent, but there was no further live-sign of the potential maintainer either.
So, here's what we do: All still open ITPs as of today are canceled. All potential maintainers still seriously considering to get their package into the distro, please resend your ITP and follow these simple rules: - Send your ITP as a new thread, don't reply to this mail, nor to your former ITP. - Add URLs to your setup.hint file, to the binary and source packages as usual, add the content of your setup.hint file inline as usual. - Add the number of all votes and/or GTG reports you got so far. - Make it a short email. Just enough for folks to consider voting and, hopefully, GTGing. Thanks, Corinna -- Corinna Vinschen Please, send mails regarding Cygwin to Cygwin Project Co-Leader cygwin AT cygwin DOT com Red Hat
