IMO, this is a mutt bug (or, rather, a mis-feature).  Pine used to have
this behavior, but there was a way of configuring it to strip away the
@hostname part in this case.  Mutt should have a way of doing this.

There was a thread on this last December, IIRC.  The conclusion was that
it's the responsibility of the replying mailer to quote the address
correctly, even if fullname isn't provided.
