Hello all -

First, the link: http://www.x7m.us/_clients/ukf/dev/

If you look at this in FF, and mouse-over the horizontal nav bar, you'll see
the effect I'm trying to achieve in IE - the background image comes up on
hover.

I've tested in Netscape and Opera and all is well there.

Now, look at it in IE6

The background image is partially there (on hover), but it doesn't span the
height of the LI - as though IE is ignoring the vertical portion of my
a:link padding rule (9px).

When viewing the css, you'll note that I've got the display:block rule on
the LI, and not on the anchor. This is because I DON'T want the white li
borders to run the entire height of the UL; I couldn't find any other way to
do this except to put the display:block on the LI rule. If there's another
(better) way to do this, I'd love to know about it.

I'm not terribly new to CSS, but this is the first time I've ever tried an
affect like this on a floated nav bar.

Any assistance as to why this is going wrong in IE is greatly appreciated.

Cole
