I don't usually respond on this list, and I'm not sure if I have full context of the problem, but I stumbled over this email, and I know Blender's APIs allow you to write an importer in the same way you can write an exporter. This would not require you to know the Blender format, but just the Blender APIs. Of course, I still don't know if it's useful to import CS into Blender. I'd personally just recommend keeping both files (Blender and CS) around.

No because that's very hard to do. The blender format isn't really stable and well documented.
It is not recommended to go in that direction.

    Hi,

I know there is a tool to export Blender to CS, but how about in the
other direction ? Is there a way to import CS in Blender ?
