I agree 100%. I use Visual Studio 2005 which works perfectly all the time. Just for experimental purposes, I tried to compile CS and CEL with VC Express 2008 and I could not get it to work on a already working copy. I loaded the exactly same solution file into Visual C++ 2005 and it built CS and CEL without a hitch.
So, with that said, I think the express version for 2008 falls short in functionality. I don't know what specifically causes this. I suspect it is simply the fact that CS and CEL are large and fairly complication projects.
