To make AI, one thing you need is a database of nouns and 3d structures that
correspond to the nouns. In order to input the nouns, you need a video->3d
converter. I've said this for about the last 5 years, and I know I wasn't
smart enough to make one myself. Well someone did:

Now that the video->3d converter is created, I want to go forward with AI.
First I want to digitize a ton of objects into 3d.
Next I want to create a 3d imagination space, and then run a video camera to
identify real life objects that I previously digitized and create a 3d scene.
Finally I want to move the camera around the room, and for the AI to know where
it is in relation to the objects it "sees".
What I want to know is: Is Crystal Space a good idea for the engine to do this
type of stuff? I personally enjoy working with CS, and I know it is a good
engine, and the OS community likes it. I'm just checking in to make sure that
it is fit for creating a 3d-imagination space. Well I guess it is. Why am I
asking this question? Well I already wrote up the post so I'm going to send it
anyway. Heh.
Here is my website on AI: http://www.geocities.com/James_Sager2/
I think the next step is to figure out how to setup a Source Forge project.
Does anyone have advice on that?
