Do you have (cygwin)\bin}sh.exe?

What source packages did you download? What line endings did you setup
for Cygwin?

Does anyone know which modifications need to be made to the script, or
if an entirely different one is needed for the BASH shell? Any other
comments?

None. The script should work out of the box.

Okay, I checked my Cygwin installation when I ran the script. No \bin\sh.
That's why I modified the script from #!\bin\sh to #!\bin\bash. Since bash
is meant to be almost entirely compatible with sh, I thought this should
work. Alas, it was not to be.

I stated which Cygwin packages I installed: The Entire BASE branch, the DEV
Branch, and the LIBS branch, as well as the normal Cygwin Defaults. I have
since downloaded some of the Text Editors as well.

I also chose UNIX line endings during the Install.

If you need, I can try and get the actual error which takes place.
