I was actually surprised how uncompressible the timedelta stream
does not make any sense. the result of a complex recursive chaotic calculation always appears uncompressible, unless you know the proper underlying model. trying to compress it only puts an upper limit on entropy, but never an estimation, let alone lower bound.
Exactly so. Because entropy is measured over counterfactuals, it can never be known from observation, only from theory.
Which is sort of weird, seeing as there is something observable about the fact that things run down and fall apart.
