way way back, i wrote a "Privacy KNOPPIX".  it aimed for the usability
(boot and play) Tails provides.

Tails and Whonix are great, Tails being the most usable.  Tails
provides less avenues to shoot one's self in the foot compared to any
other Tor packaging.  Whonix provides better isolation with usability
trade-offs.  Qubes Tor VM the most time consuming and technical, but
the most isolated (read: defended in depth) - you have to build it
yourself, and the defaults are poor.

with more funding and more usability emphasis across more protocols,
the relative strength and obscurity of Tails will fade.  it has been
specifically targeted as of years ago. (see "Tor Stinks".
