Dear all,

The Pelagios Network is making some efforts to identity natural language
questions in pairs against knowledge graphs. This may be of interest to
some in our community. You may find details of their activity in the email
forwarded below.

Sincerely,

George

Dear Pelagios Network Partners,

Happy new year! In the spirit of the new year, we have the pleasure to
inform you of the relaunch of the Pelagios Registry working group. This
email is to invite you to join us for the kick-off meeting on *Wednesday
January 28th at 2pm GMT* (= 3pm CET) here
https://zoom.us/j/94811028439?pwd=F0ucpsHUTD8tez424u3d5uvhg5Rp86.1.

The Registry working group (RWG) was initially coordinated by Leif Isaksen
and Pascal Belouin (many thanks to you both for your work on this!). I’m
delighted to be able to step in at this time as its new co-coordinator,
together with my colleague Sarah Middle, to build on the work already done
as well as to achieve some specific aims.

Over the next year, we will be focusing on cataloguing and documenting
existing LOD knowledge graphs, Our aim will be to create an open catalogue
and example-based documentation of these resources. In turn, this work will
feed into Quagga <http://quagga.graphia-ssh.eu/>, an ongoing crowdsourcing
initiative led by the GRAPHIA project <https://graphia-ssh.eu/>, which is
collecting question/query pairs for existing KGs in the social sciences and
humanities – an area to which Pelagios members and partners have been
greatly contributing.

This kick-off meeting will:
- Collect ideas from interested Pelagios partners and members about
knowledge graphs to be documented in Quagga*
- Organise the practical work of the Registry WG (Google doc, GitHub)
- Agree on a date/time for a monthly Stammtisch meeting

Hope to see many of you there!
Best wishes,
Matteo Romanello and Sarah Middle

*If you know of anyone else who you think would like to be part of this WG,
please do let us know.
