Hello again, thank you for that much feedback. First of all I have to apologize because I sent you the wrong date. Linuxwochen Wien 2012 is scheduled from May 3rd to May 5th 2012 that means, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
A fourth day should be no problem, either Wednesday or Sunday. We have to talk with the people from the location but as far as I can see it should be no problem to host the 120 people you mentioned. The applied university is equipped with everything a modern conference location needs including wifi and stuff. We already have experience in co-hosting conferences. Let me frame a picture how it can work out. There is one thing that we call an umbrella conference that runs the location and hosts sub conferences in that case the Linuxwochen and the LGM. Both are kept seperate, regarding the rooms for talks and BOF meetings. Visitors can visit both conferences. To give visitors the possibility to switch it might be a good idea to sync the talk times of the two conference so that there are cross over breaks at least two times a day. This just a proposal, so please let's discuss it. We can help to organize accomodation and locations for "after show parties/come together". I am afraid to say this but what we cannot do is doing fund raising for your event. First of all because we have to do fund raising for Linuxwochen as well and getting the money for both events is really a challenge and we do not have many people involved in the organizing team so we also do not have the capacity to do that. On the other hand I heard that you have many people here in Europe so I hope that some of them are volunteering to do that part. Vienna is one of the three locations of the United Nations, because of this Austria has to provide easy access (visa) to everybody in the World, so I do not expect much trouble here.
