I've deleted the file and run makeuserdb a few times. The contents of my
userdb file (while showing control characters in vim) is:
sirena^Iuid=5000|mail=/var/mail/vhosts/
blackwatersiren.com/sirena|home=/var/mail/vhosts/blackwatersiren.com/sirena|systempw=$1$3neVHf6L$.2YOiAkbaXVun1fgKd7Cq51|gid=5000
The ^I is a vertical tab. The 0 at the end of the line is the last
character in the file. There is no blank line appended to it. This file
was generated with:
userdb sirena set home=/var/mail/vhosts/blackwatersiren.com/sirena
mail=/var/mail/vhosts/blackwatersiren.com/sirena uid=5000 gid=5000
userdbpw -md5|userdb sirena set systempw
(i changed a few characters of the md5 above for the security of my client,
though i don't know if that matters)
