those log entries actually indicate that authldap crashed and was restarted by its parent process. That's certainly an issue. On some Linux distributions this will quickly start filling up the disk with core dumps. This was a problem I caught in the original patch.
I have just tested this modified version but it seems that:- in some cases the authldap connections are are restarted (first ldap server restart test),- but on other cases authldap connections were not restarted
Setting DEBUG_LOGIN=1 in authdaemonrc should result in some additional logging that might indicate why reconnection fails, in some instances.
