Thanks for your anwer. I found a different solution. I pass the LOGIN log line of courier-IMAP, to a syslog program destination.

The program scan the log and, after retrieving the directory of the maildir of the user that succesfull logged in against Courier-IMAP, the program launch the UNIX command 'du' to calculate the quota usage.

The calculated value then updates in quota usage field in the user table.

That seems fine, but there is some overhead to maildirs, so the usage you get that way won't exactly match the calculate quota usage that Courier-IMAP records itself. It'll be very close, but not identical.
