Hi Sam, thanks for answering. The encryption is used throughtout all the accounts of the same type. On every other client I have, thunderbird, outlook, android mail etc the account <URL:mailto:[email protected]>[email protected] is working without problems except from blackberry z10, with the error log I sent. I sent two logs with successful login (from outlook) and unsuccessful login from (blackberry z10). Both logs show the login with the same password only with different success/failiure.
It's possible that the device is also including some control character, or an invisible character, in the password, that's not immediately visible. The only way to track it down is to log the network traffic, which is not a trivial task for someone who never done that.
Google's search results are full of people complaining about z10's various IMAP issues. Doesn't look like a very stable implementation.
If you can, basically, log into the same account using another device, this would prove that z10 is either misconfigured, or buggy. An IMAP server has absolutely no knowledge of what kind of a client is connecting to it. It's just a network connection.
If you still cannot log into this account using the same id/password from another device, then this would point to some kind of a configuration issue with the account.
