Hello, I'm currently using Courier-imap, it works flawlessly with Postfix, but we only have one Mail server if something happens we have a backup server that sync all email at night.

I want to build a Fault Tolerant Email system with Courier-Imap does anybody have suggestions? I would like to have a cluster of machines so if one dies clients won't noticed any difference.

The only practical way to do something like that is to put the mailboxes on network storage, and mount it via NFS on multiple servers. The network storage hardware will be responsible for its own fault tolerance, via replication in some way, and multiple clients mounting the storage would take care of redundancy on he front end.

However, depending on the actual network file server brand/version, and the client server OS, various NFS issues are common, are to be prepared for, and will need to be worked through.
