Hi,

I uploaded a few thousand messages in an email client of mine from a
local archive to a Courier-IMAP mailbox. This email client seems to be
broken because it prepended a "From " line to every message (no colon,
no content, just this string). Now this stupid line breaks not just
other email clients but the one that it created it too...

This is not my server, but I do have FTP access to it. So I figured
that I can mount it and run a script to remove those lines. The email
address in question is the same that I'm sending this message from, my
IMAP folder is named Archive, and the messages are here:
"[ftproot]/mail/joco.name/fejes/.Archive/cur", and a sample message file
name is
"1325972890.M623329P527044V0000000000000904I0000000000708B06_0.varga.lanten.hu,S=3905:2,S".

The only reason I know it's Courier-IMAP is because of files named like
that, and it's also in maildir format because of a file named like that,
I don't know other technical details, but I can ask my ISP if it's
needed.

So here's the question of the day: if I change messages via FTP
directly, do I break anything? There's a file named courierimapuiddb
that contains file name and UID mappings, I won't change either, so this
seems alright. I don't know what to do with the
courierimapkeywords/:list file or the maildirsize file, or possibly
other places where Courier stores its state.

Thank you very much for your help,
Jozsef
